the quest to shave bezels has brought manufacturers in all sorts of different directions, but the latest experiment is the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition, it raises another meaning of the phrase all screen phone and it’s just arrived, so let’s check it out .
so let’s see what’s in the box, under the cover we immediately see the phone, looks nice, we have a SIM key and some reading material, and beneath that is the USBC cable .
there’s also a rubber bumper case included in here, it only covers the edges of the phone, we also have a pair of vivo earbuds in the box, there 3.5 millimeter as there is thankfully a headphone jack and finally the large 22.5 watt fast charger, which should be as fast as on the vivo NEX S .
so now that we have the Vivo Nex Dual Display in our hands let’s go over what makes it special .

the design of this phone is vivo’s new answer to the notch problem, instead of a screen cut out or a pop-up module for a selfie cam, just use the rear camera for all of your photos .
as a result the front panel was a truly bezels natural a 6.4 inch AMOLED, there’s an AMOLED display on the back too, quite similar but a bit smaller at 5.5 inches .
it’s more than just a selfie viewfinder it’s fully usable for all functions of the phone, above the screen sits a 12 megapixel main cam, a secondary night-vision camera whatever that means, and to the side a third 3d stereo time-of-flight camera for facial mapping .
the dual camera setup has a round camera bump, and it actually extends into the screen where it turns transparent .

there are also two hidden LED flashes which provides soft light for selfies, here are a couple of selfies for you to check out, selfie should benefit from being taken through the main camera, which has OIS and dual pixel face detection autofocus, we’ll have more on the overall camera quality in our full review .
having two screens poses its own challenges in day to day use, a regular sort of case won’t work here, so the included rubber bumper will have to do .
each screen has its own power button, as well as his own unlock method, when you’re on the front you’ll be using the under display fingerprint reader .
